Nakhind Trek
Team: Me, Gaza, PC, Mohit(Dhar's friend from ISB), Basant, Tikidi and Sumedh.
Date: 10th July.
Weather: Clear Sky, No Rains.
Nakhind( mountain with a hole), is 705 m high in the karjat ranges. Took a local to Vangani Station. Its a 30 - 45 mins walk to the base village from vangani. We saw Airplane and Airplane II previous night, but thats not important, so we were in farting mood. Chandu as usual was at his best, his radio was on. Its the walk along show ( A new show like stand up show) by chandu.
There was another group going to nakhind had to over take them, and occupy the hole before them. All along we were praying , to send some rains. Our prayers were in vain. We should have tried the Lagaan style gaana, may be god would have been happy. On second thoughts no one had good voice, he would have got more angry. The walk along the ridge was good, few clouds were lingering. Planned to go to Peb fort from Nakhind, but few people were against it as the path is bit difficult. Had some food, no lots of food, we had everything bread cheese, biscuits, sev, Fruits, boiled eggs etc etc. After few mins of farting session we climb down.
Bottom line its a wonderful trek. Even without the rains. With rains the climbing down and climbing up would have been very difficult or fun. Its all muddy and getting a grip would be very difficult. Last time at Nakhind Bongi says, while climbing down, please maintain 4 ft gap so that you have enough buffer zone if someone slips, five mins later he is the one sliding into Gaza.
