The year that was for spain and India

Spain did good in sports living not up to  their expectations, pun intended, what all did spain went on to win in the year of the Rat(as per the chinese calender).
First the most important FOOTBALL EURO 2008 winners, they won it.
France le tour carlos sastre, in cycling they are dominating wining almost all the tours i guess , road race Sanchez won the gold in cycling at the olympics.
Nadal replacing the Fedex at the Numero uno,  Wins the davis cup, that too with out the Hard working, hard hitting NADAL. Silver medal (Basketball olympics) .

Not bad as well for the billions of INDIANS, we are doing good at the sports front. Did well in cricket, IPL starts, thats what is lacking in India, i mean its a big business, look at NBA, EPL, la liga, F1 sports stars are minting money, if someone is  making money let him, thats his pay, but on the field is he playing his heart out or not is more important than his prize tag, if he is not worth the prize tagged he won't he there for long, he has to live up to his expectation, this IPL kind of leagues should  be introduced to all the SPORTS, but we don't have stars, the ICONS, for whom people are ready to pay 500 bucks or take a leave to watch on TVs.

So finally a olympic medal gold(individual), Bindra, bindra who? everyone knows, Susil kumar, vijendra singh who are these guys?

Saina is doing good in Badminton, Chetan anand won the Czech open badminton.

V.Anand is as usual at his best. he is a role model for many grand masters in india. In chess india is doing pretty good.

Jeev Singh, the golfer, son of the Flying sikh, is doing good. Over all good for Indian sports scene.
