Navra Navri Trek
Team: Me, Gaza , PC , Windy.
Date: 16th July.
Weather: Sunny, Clear Blue Sky.
This trek was suggested by Hemant. He wanted to do it, but could not find enough enthu to go for it.
So we tried our luck. And luck was on our side. We read in the book by Harish Kapadia( Bible for the shayadris Treks) it says(okay okay books don't talk), walk to the east 3km on a road that leads to JAVLI village. Walk 2km to BHOJ LAKE. This guys must have measured the distance using a 15 cm ruler. The lake is around 6 km from Badlapur. Anyways, took a auto to the lake. Just used our instinct and followed few tracks in to the jungle. Only reference point being a col in the ridge which we were to reach. We found the way without much difficulty.Reach the ridge.
Gaza was leading the way, the ridge was dangerous, one slip and you can kiss your sweet life good bye. There was a rock climbing part on the ridge. Gaza was helping PC with the climbing, me was talking windy's photos on the ridge. Windy's shouts and i hear some sound. I turn back and find PC is not on the ridge. Everybody missed few heart beats, i run towards the rock. I hear a sound, pc saying i am okay. But still ran towards the slip. He sliped some 10 - 15 ft, was stopped by a cacti plant. I go there pull him up and we sit on the ridge. Thanking almighty. Had food on the ridge, talk for sometime.
It was a good trek. All that starts well ends well.
